SUBSEA ENGINEER II

 

 

POSITIOSUMMARY

The Subsea Engineer II is a key position of Drillingresponsible for the efficient maintenancemonitoring and operation of the Subsesystems equipment.

 

ESSENTIAFUNCTIONS

  • MaintaiSubsesystems equipment to meet operation plagoals for mechanical downtime anrepaiand maintenance, through timelrepaiand proper maintenance of equipment iaccordancwith the Company’s preventive maintenance program
  • Requisition material to maintain adequate inventory
  • Establissystefor permanent documentation of work performed on equipment, and recorequipmencondition daily
  • Ensure thano welding is done on Subsea equipment
  • Establish an efficient and economical planning system
  • Review all operational and technical bulletins and implement directives as required
  • Maintain a gooworking relationship with supervisor and crew members
  • Mentor otheSubseengineers and trainees

 

JOREQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience and an Associate’s Degree or diploma from accredited Technical School or a minimum six (6) years’ experience in Subsea field in oil and gas environment in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ related technicaexperiencsucacalibration, hydraulics, pneumatics and comprehensive knowledge of oil and gas procesequipment
  • Abltinterprehydraulischematidrawing(tcomponenleveland troubleshoot faults remotelyi.ewithout beinin proximity to equipment
  • Able to communicate to other technicapeopleverballand iwriting
  • Ablto analyze problems and recommend solutions
  • Unrestricted passporand able to traveinternationally

  • Environmentaconditions mainclude extreme heat, sucas temperatureabove 100° for periods of morthan one hourwind, motion, and exposurto opewater
  • Physicaconditions mainclude proximity to moving parts or electricacurrent; workinat heightsexposure to noisechemicals, fumes, odorsand dust
  • Move objects by exerting uto 44 pounds of force occasionally; up t3pounds of force frequentlyand/or up to 10 pounds of forcconstantly
  • Ascend or descenladdersstairsscaffoldingrampsetc.
  • Able to give anreceive verbal communication and distinguish audible sounds
