From day one as a Research Analyst (RA) Intern at Brattle, you will participate in project teams with senior consulting staff and leading international experts. You will have an opportunity to support our Principals and Academic Advisors as they serve as expert witnesses before courts and arbitration panels on behalf of some of the largest and most successful law firms and corporations worldwide, in addition to numerous public and government agencies in the United States, Europe, Australia, Asia, and elsewhere.

A typical day in the life of a Brattle RA Intern includes:

  • Adapting economic theory to apply to real life questions and problems

  • Analyzing companies and markets

  • Building financial, economic and operational models

  • Conducting statistical analyses and running regressions

  • Providing in-depth research and communicating with project team members at all levels

An ideal Brattle RA Intern will demonstrate:

  • Strong academic performance – we are seeking students in their penultimate or final year of study in a quantitative discipline (e.g. economics, math, finance, engineering).

  • Great team skills – our project work is done almost exclusively in teams and it is critical that RA Interns work well with others.  A good sense of humor is always welcome!

  • Intellectual curiosity and quickness – we are not just looking for students who do well in coursework, but for those who consistently want to learn/know more and who approach problems with creativity.

  • A high degree of ownership and commitment – successful RA Interns are committed to doing what it takes to get things right and take ownership of their work.

We are seeking Research Analyst Interns to work in our Sydney office either part-time during the academic year, or full-time over winter or summer break. Please note that we will be considering candidates on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
