Human Resources Business Partner

Location: London, UK





The Brattle Group is seeking a motivated and flexible individual with strong customer service skills for a full-time Human Resources Business Partner to support the Human Resources department in our London office. The Business Partner will partner with the appropriate HR leads in the United States, as well as local European office heads to provide guidance to the London, Rome and Madrid offices.  The HR Business Partner will provide services in the functional areas of the Human Resources department including benefits, compensation, recruiting, and employee relations. The HR Business Partner will ensure high quality and timely administration of all HR services with a focus on the customer experience.

The core duties of this position include:

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Ensures clear communication of all European benefits plans and offerings to staff
  • Maintains knowledge of local benefits-related laws to ensure compliance in all European locations, acts as primary contact with benefits brokers, and updates all plan documents accordingly
  • Coordinates all new enrollments and facilitates annual renewal of benefits
  • Verifies the accuracy of invoices, ensuring timely processing
  • Maintains a high quality and timely administration of all HR transactional processes
  • Maintains and updates Employee Manuals and policies as necessary and ensures distribution and notification across the firm

Recruiting and Onboarding:

  • Conducts full recruitment responsibilities for all European office positions including working with managers and practice area leads to establish hiring plans, the creation of job descriptions, sourcing, and recruiting all candidates
  • Identifies and fosters relationships with target universities near the firm’s European locations for purpose of recruiting consulting candidates
  • Ensures effective on-boarding for all new staff
  • Stays informed of local markets in order to effectively set compensation for new hires, consistent with both internal and external equity

Employee Relations:

  • Maintains communication with staff and ensures a timely resolution and response to any employee concerns or issues
  • Takes part in the performance management process including editing of reviews and goals and creation and monitoring of performance improvement plans
  • Works with Office Directors to promote and advocate for firm culture across all office locations


The position requires someone who well-versed in all applicable Human Resources laws, practices, and procedures and who brings strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle numerous projects and deliverables simultaneously.  Other requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a Human Resources environment (preferably in professional services firm) with significant experience in benefits, HR administration, recruiting, and employee relations
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience
  • Experience with an HRIS and with an applicant tracking system
  • Experience in MS Office Suite
  • Experience working with remote locations required
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in Italian and/or Spanish is highly desirable
  • Excellent quantitative skills and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service orientation including excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a growing and changing environment
