  • Maintaining and building features for a web-based document search tool built in Django and relying on an Apache Solr backend
  • Writing reproducible scripts in Python that will classify, clean, and visualize unstructured text data

In addition to the qualifications listed below, the successful Data Engineer will have the ability to self-teach and to guide colleagues employing a consultative approach to developing solutions. The individual must be able to solve problems creatively and with relative autonomy.  The Data Engineer should bring to the role a background in data science coupled with experience administering big-data tools.  The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Distributed computing skills a plus – e.g., Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark
    • Experience with cloud computing services also a plus (Google Cloud Platform or AWS)

We offer a generous compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, 401K/profit sharing, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and internal professional development and training programs, designed to reward success at all levels.
