The Brattle Group is seeking an experienced engineer to work alongside our consulting teams to provide software development and data analytics support. In the course of our work, we regularly receive large amounts of data and/or documents in a wide variety of formats. The Data Engineer will be located in The Brattle Group’s Boston, Massachusetts office, but will interface with internal and external clientele regardless of location in order to determine how to best process these materials into a form supporting manipulation and analysis, as well as implementing agreed upon systems and processes. The Data Engineer will also oversee and maintain internally-developed applications. Additionally, The Brattle Group’s consultants develop and apply reproducible scripts and advanced machine learning algorithms (e.g. topic modeling, cluster analysis) to data sets on a case-by-case basis. Thus, the Data Engineer’s work and projects will be wide-ranging, with numerous opportunities for professional development, innovation, and growth. Our office is currently located in Harvard Square but will be moving to downtown Boston in June 2017.
