Senior Billing and Collections Analyst

Location: Boston, MA



The Brattle Group is seeking a motivated and flexible individual for a full-time Senior Billing and Collections Analyst to support the firm in our Boston, MA office. Our office is currently located in Harvard Square but will be moving to downtown Boston in June 2017.  

The Senior Billing and Collections Analyst is responsible for overseeing the collection efforts of the firm and working with the billing analysts to ensure accurate and timely client invoicing.  This position reports to the Senior Manager of Planning & Business Analysis.

The core duties of this position include:

  • Provide regular reporting to project managers (PMs) on the status of their receivables and resolve receivable issues that may arise
  • Identify potential billing and collections issues or opportunities for process improvement and work with Sr. Manager of Planning & Business Analysis and Sr. Business analyst to implement changes
  • Monitor receivables and follow up on old outstanding balances, both internally and with external clients
  • Respond to client inquires and requests including providing copies of invoices, research, and analysis
  • Review contracts to ensure billing requirements are being met
  • Work with billing analysts to resolve issues that may arise during the monthly billing cycle
  • Produce month end reports and reconciliations


This position requires strong organizational, collaboration, and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle numerous projects and deliverables.  The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in business or accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Collections experience required
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to handle numerous projects and deliverables concurrently
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Evening and/or weekend work may be required
