Accounts Payable Coordinator

Location: Boston, MA



The Brattle Group is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Coordinator to support the firm’s accounting team in the Boston, MA office. The Accounts Payable Coordinator works in a collaborative environment and assists in the preparation and processing of accounts payable and employee reimbursements for our domestic and international operations.  This position will also include related responsibilities related to supporting the Accounting team in reporting, analysis, reconciliation, and compliance.  Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Code and enter vendor invoices to respective accounts and projects and resolve any issues as necessary
  • Prioritize invoices according to payment terms and ensure timely payment
  • Review, reconcile, and post employee expense reports
  • Review and reconcile corporate credit card bills
  • Process check requests and check, EFT and wire payments to vendors and employees
  • Maintain vendor and employee files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
  • Maintain W9/1099 compliance
  • Assist in month end closing and annual audit
  • Assist with other projects and activities as needed


This position requires strong organizational, collaboration, and time management skills.  The ideal candidate will also possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree preferred with focus in accounting or business and a minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Must be well organized with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and to interact with employees and team members, as well as third-party vendors with high regard to customer service
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment
  • Strong independent problem solving skills
