Description

The National Director of Sales - C-Stores is a nationally focused role that will be based from the candidate's home and will involve approximately 90% travel throughout the US.

Department: Prepared Food - Sales

Location: Home Office

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Manage C-Store segment accounts, Responsibilities To include: Contract Negotiations, RFP process, Business Development,Includes both fresh and frozen channels

  • Develop and retain ongoing relationships at strategically identified C-Store chain accounts with Corporate buying Managers, FSQA team, and Replenishment Coordinator

  • Regular collaboration with Sr. Director of Sales and Channel Management to review and update strategies and initiatives

  • Accept ownership of Sales Objectives and all facets of our business that impact sales growth and MDF management

  • Work in Tandem with Pilgrims Corp office to develop and be responsible for margin realization

  • Develop and execute strategy to increase all brands sales volume with attention to required margin

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy with Brokers and Region Managers that is communicated to the Sr. Director of Distribution Sales so that it can be successfully implemented in the field

  • Participate in any necessary conferences where Pilgrims attendance is desired and / or required

  • Provide understanding of market changes and industry changes that will affect our performance and growth

Education: College degree or related experience

Experience: 5+ years’ experience in C-Store Foodservice Value-added sales.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to represent Pilgrims to sell our brand and corporate mission

  • General Microsoft Office computer skills including but not limited to; Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Collaborative/Accountable/Results driven/ Detail Oriented

  • Team Player

  • Analytical and process oriented

  • Excellent communicator and follow-up skills - desire to win

  • Solid Broker management abilities and experience to achieve results

  • Must have strong existing C-store relationships w/major chains
