As a Software Engineer, you will help us push the boundaries of what is possible on the client. You'll work on a team of other developers alongside systems and services engineers, product developers, visual designers, and project managers. You are highly proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and appreciate the details that make a user experience exceptional and demonstrate enthusiasm for new technologies, languages, frameworks, and platforms.

This position is located in Chelsea Market, New York, NY.

  • Implement web interfaces and applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Rapidly prototype and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable web applications using HTML5 technologies.
  • Enforce code quality through test driven development.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering, product, and marketing teams to define product requirements.
  • Distill product requirements into design and technical specifications.

  • Grunt - javascript task runner
  • Jenkins - continuous integration server
  • Confluence - wiki collaboration
  • JIRA - issue tracking
  • HipChat - chat collaboration
  • AWS


  • 3+ years experience building compelling web applications.
  • Strong interest in product and user interface design.
  • Significant experience developing web applications using HTML5, especially Javascript.
  • Computer science/engineering degree --or-- equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Server-side scripting in Node, Java and/or Groovy, or general Java programming is a plus.
  • Experience using Freemarker templating is a plus.
