Stout Risius Ross, Inc. (SRR) seeks a Business Development Director for its Dispute Advisory and Forensic Services group in its Chicago office to assist in generating contacts with lawyers involved in commercial business disputes, with an emphasis on intellectual property matters.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with the firm's product offerings and the needs of potential clients
  • Identification of potential clients for purposes of developing long-term relationships
  • Set and attend potential client appointments with other Managing Directors and Directors
  • Achieve minimum call volume requirements per month
  • Achieve minimum targeted business origination per year
  • Weekly detailed progress reporting
  • Build and maintain existing relationships
  • Organization/attendance at office sponsored events with clients/potential clients
  • Attendance at industry conferences

Education and/or Training:

  • The candidate should have established relationships with lawyers in the above mentioned areas in Chicago and other major cities. The candidate should have knowledge of valuation and litigation support product lines.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of relevant sales experience.
  • A law degree coupled with big firm experience is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing coupled with big firm experience will also be considered.
