Regional Digital Sales Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:   Must have 2+ years of media-related experience selling digital platforms as well as previous sales management experience; prior radio experience preferred. Must be familiar with prevailing internet technologies such as HTML, streaming media, ad tagging, Flash, podcasting, blogging, RSS, etc. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and the ability to meet deadlines are required.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and be able to create polished sales presentations. Excellent presentation skills are required as are strong written and oral communication skills. 4 year degree preferred.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

 

  • Ambassador of all things digital.  Help establish faith and value in our digital offerings.  In market, out of market internally and externally.
  • In-field participation on client calls with sales team members in home market and out of market regional trips.
  • Regular region market visits to meet with key clients, conduct AE strategy sessions, help keep digital top of mind within the radio operations
  • Responsible for providing consultative in-market strategy to maximize digital revenue.
  • Create digital programs for client proposals and presentations.  Implementing the “idea sell” verses, the product sell.
  • Create synergy with digital for an overall marketing program for clients.
  • Handle challenging/larger deal conversations with clients and digital personnel over the phone and in person.
  • Problem Solve and help support markets on obstacles that are preventing them from maximum monetization of digital.
  • Responsible for achieving home market revenue objectives – responsible for pushing out of market Digital Managers to achieve revenue goals within their markets.
  • Work hand-in-hand in working with DSM's and Market Managers/DOS' to help formulate annual revenue budgets and forecasts throughout the year.
  • Regularly monitor digital budgets to meet company goals.  Lead the out of market DSM’s in achieving all sales goals and strategy on what will work within their markets.
  • Serve as a digital liaison with corporate upper management and local management.
  • Responsible for educating, training and mentoring Digital Managers, Sales managers and Account Executives on digital tools and opportunities.
  • Regional meetings and brainstorming sessions with other departments other than just sales in order to provide digital best practices from across the country.
  • Weekly meetings with Digital Managers to review pacing to budget, Key Accounts, sales activity, challenges, and successes to help drive digital revenue for markets(s)
  • Highlight Best Practices from our regions on Digital Managers Call.
  • Roll out new products and work with Digital Managers to implement strategy to help support new products.
  • Help in all digital personnel decisions along with Market Manager. Interview DSM and DSS candidates.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle required.
