Location This position will work from our Muncie, Indiana, location, which is near Ball State University

What You’ll Do

This position will provide support for various plans, programs, projects and policies in the Total Rewards group including compensation, benefits, wellness, and payroll. You will:

  • Participate in the implementation and administration of competitive benefits plans and work with third-party benefit vendors:
    • conduct new hire orientation regarding benefits plans and processes
    • administer and support wellness initiatives
    • assist with leave and disability processes
    • support the HRIS-Total rewards Analyst and the team by assisting with system updates
    • participate in the open enrollment process
    • support workers compensation claims and annual workers compensation audit
    • support and participate in the annual 401(k) plan audit
    • support, administer, and report on the Spot Bonus Award program and Educational Assistance program
  • Participate in the administration of compensation programs, practices, and policies
  • Participate in the maintenance and administration of compliance activities related to employee record retention, policies, and audits
  • Participate on divisional and cross-functional project teams as assigned

 

What You’ll Need

We’re a highly collaborative, customer service oriented team looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
  • 1 to 2 year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Human Resources experience is preferred
  • Compensation and benefits administration experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and customer service orientation
  • Proficiency in MS Office, advanced level in Excel, as well as an understanding of how to best leverage technology
  • Demonstrates self-confidence, ability to handle ambiguity, initiative, creative problem-solving, accountability and a high level of engagement
  • Demonstrated skills in conceptual and analytical thinking, developing effective working relationships and collaborating with others. Strong verbal and written communication including presentation skills required
