WordPress Production (Part-time / 3 months / location flexibility)

Location: DC-Washington
Company Order Number: 1386
# of openings: 1

Description

A mid-size foundation that is focused on health care issues and keeps well staffed offices in Washington, DC and San Francisco, CA, is seeking the temporary support of an individual with WordPress production/content management experience.

We are ideally seeking an individual who can work up to 30 hours/week -- with availability between roughly 10am and 6pm, Monday through Thursday. We are open to receiving applications and inquiries from appropriately experienced professionals who are interested in working from home (i.e. remotely, off-site, etc.) or at our client's workplace. Since we are seeking consistent dayside availability, this opportunity is a great fit for a freelancer who can be available throughout the day during regular business hours. It is not a good fit for professionals who currently have full-time jobs or for any other reason cannot commit to a regular daily work schedule. We are targeting a July 23rd start date but can offer flexibility to start in the role as late as August 30.

Brainstorm Creative Resources has worked closely with the client organization since 2012. We will gladly provide plenty of additional information regarding the organization, to the most well qualified applicants.

DESCRIPTION:
The person who steps into this role will report to the organization's Associate Director of Web Development and Production, who is located in the Washington, DC office. Daily/weekly tasks will include all of the following:

* Create new pages in WordPress (does not require coding skills);
* Copy content from MS Word, format and insert into WordPress pages;
*  Edit existing content in WordPress pages, as advised by content stakeholders;
* Select and apply images and/or other visual resources into pages;
* Create basic charts and graphs using Adobe Illustrator.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
* WordPress (Intermediate to advanced); large org. implementation experience preferred
* Adobe Illustrator (Basic to intermediate)
* Adobe Photoshop (Basic)
* Microsoft Word (Intermediate)
* Microsoft PowerPoint (Basic)
* HTML (Novice to basic)

DURATION / HOURS / LOCATION:
As indicated elsewhere in this job description, we are ideally seeking an individual who can work up to 30 hours/week, with a fairly consistent day-to-day work schedule. Work can be done at a remote location or on-site at our client's workplace. We expect the engagement to continue for three months, although there is the possibility it could be extended if all parties agree that an extension is a good idea. Alternatively, assignments do sometimes end sooner than expected. Of interest to individuals who are considering working on-site, the client organization occupies it's own contemporary office building in NW, DC, and the building is highly accessible via Metrorail and Metrobus.

RATE:
Brainstorm Creative Resources is offering a pay rate range of between $20/hour and $40/hour. The actual rate offered will be commensurate with experience and market norms. Brainstorm Creative Resources strives to pay competitively. However, it is unlikely (but not impossible) that we will be able to pay early career applicants near the top of the stated salary range. Alternatively, highly experienced professionals whose resumes indicate substantial experience can expect that we will make a strong case to our client, to pay you at or near the top of the range.
