Position Title:  Senior Attorney


Position Summary

Provide legal assistance and counseling primarily to Business Support (HR), company managers, and other company stakeholders in all areas of employment law, policy, development and training.


As a senior member of the Legal team, a Senior Attorney is expected to initiate and lead special projects and to provide management support initiatives and training.


Essential Job Functions

  • Provide advice and counsel on employment law issues including hiring, discipline, termination, pay and benefits.

  • Provide support and partnership with the development of HR policies and procedures.

  • Provide advice on handling employee relations matters, including employee counseling, discipline and benefits issues. Lead or provide guidance on internal investigations.

  • Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing legal compliance training. Prepare, direct and conduct training programs on employee relations matters; for example, employment law updates, discipline, investigative techniques and documentation preparation.

  • Review and provide input on policies and procedures, which are impacted by legislation such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, ERISA, state Worker’s Compensation and Employment discrimination laws.

  • Respond to legal inquiries, assisting Crown personnel with regard to legal issues as needed.

  • Contract interpretation; involving counsel to Crown personnel regarding various contract matters.

  • Dispute Management; involving counsel to Crown personnel regarding contract or other disputes and liaison with outside counsel when necessary.

  • Litigation assistance; involving claim notification, tracking, liaison with outside counsel and internal business owner, analysis of claims and status reporting to optimize representation of Crown’s interests.

  • Special projects; involving initiation and execution of various projects related to training on legal concepts and contract preparation, policies, procedures and standard forms.

  • Provide guidance and leadership to other team members.



  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

  • Attorney’s License


Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Five -Seven years of related legal experience, seven years preferred.

  • Consistent demonstration of superior technical expertise

  • Consistent demonstration of Crown Castle 3B leadership qualities

  • Demonstrated mastery of subject matter

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions


Other Skills/Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of legal research and writing techniques

  • Basic knowledge of real estate, contract and business law, telecommunications experience useful

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to work with individuals of diverse background, personalities and opinions

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Working knowledge of MS Office

  • Superior communication skills – written and verbal

Working Conditions:  Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
