Job Description OVERVIEW:
    • CISSP certification or its equivalent.
    • Experience in the implementation of cross domain solutions e.g. an information assurance solution that provides the ability to manually and/or automatically access and/or transfer between two or more differing security domains.
    • Open Vas
    • Supports ISSO and customer for GM specifically part of the GM Security team.
    • IAVAs


EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION for ISSE:
    • Bachelors Degree + 3 years ISSE experience
    • No Degree + 7 years total ISSE experience
    • with CISSP certification  (or it's equivalent)

LABOR CATEGORY REQUIREMENTS for ISSE:
     Required:
     •Shall have three (3) years experience as an Information System Security Engineer integrating information assurance disciplines into the system design, development, integration, and implementation.
     •Shall have experience with Defense in Depth principles and technology including access/control, authorization, identification and authentication, public key infrastructure, network, and enterprise security architecture. This may include the development, design and implementation of firewalls, and evaluation, review and test of security code.
     •Shall have experience in: assessing and auditing network penetration testing, anti virus planning assistance, risk analysis and incident response.
     •Shall have experience applying security risk assessment methodology to system development, including threat model development, vulnerability assessments, and resulting security risk analysis.
     •Shall have knowledge of Federal, Customer Intelligence Community and DoD Information Security regulations, publications, and policy.
     •Shall be familiar with the Customer Certification and Accreditation process (NISCAP).
     •Experience in the implementation of cross domain solutions e.g. an information assurance solution that provides the ability to manually and/or automatically access and/or transfer between two or more differing security domains.

    • Bachelors Degree + 8 years ISSE experience
    • No Degree + 12 years total ISSE experience
    • with CISSP certification  (or it's equivalent)

LABOR CATEGORY REQUIREMENTS for Senior ISSE:
     Required:

     •Shall have eight (8) years experience as an Information System Security Engineer integrating information assurance disciplines into the system design, development, integration, and implementation.
     •Shall have experience identifying Information Protection needs and defining System Security Requirements; designing System Security Architecture; and developing detailed Security Designs (including system security certifications and project evaluations).
     •Shall have experience with Defense in Depth principles and technology including access/control, authorization, identification and authentication, public key infrastructure, network, and enterprise security architecture.
     •Shall have experience developing security plans for employing enterprise-wide security architecture.
     •Shall have experience assessing and auditing network penetration testing, anti virus planning assistance, risk analysis and incident response.
     •Shall have experience in applying security risk assessment methodology to system development, including threat model development, vulnerability assessments, and resulting security risk analysis.
     •Shall have experience enforcing the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external agency systems and architectures.
     •Shall have knowledge of Federal, NSA, Intelligence Community and DoD Information Security regulations, publications, and policy.
     •Shall have knowledge of: the NSA/CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP); NSA Manual 130-1, NSA/CSS Operational Information Systems Security Manual; and DCID 6/3 PL3.
     •Shall have experience developing systems that process information with different classifications and categories that simultaneously permits access by users with different security clearances and denies access to users who lack authorization.
     •Experience in the implementation of cross domain solutions e.g. an information assurance solution that provides the ability to manually and/or automatically access and/or transfer between two or more differing security domains.
