Job Description OVERVIEW:
Selected candidate will provide long-range analytical forecasts of threats against community and recommend countermeasures. Provide CI analysis supporting international agreements involving geospatial intelligence and sharing of the analysis.  Assimilate, evaluate and interpret all-source information related to IC community from an operational security perspective.  Publish finished intelligence of this information on a scheduled and ad hoc basis, with recommendations for countermeasures. Assimilate, evaluate and interpret all-source information that concerns counterintelligence, counter terrorism, counter espionage threats against personnel, programs, technology and information systems and/or facilities and the National System for GEOINT.  Provide daily analysis of the for distribution to selected parties within DoD, and the Intelligence Community to include federal, state, and local law enforcement officials.   Liaise with members of the DoD, the IC, and appropriate law enforcement entities to keep abreast of current CI issues as required and insofar as protocol permits.  Prepare briefs, as required, related to any or all of the above subject matter for delivery to internal and external audiences at the executive level.  Individual must be TS/SCI cleared, have a current SSBI and be willing to undergo a polygraph.

 

ADDITIONAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
     • Investigation experience (consideration given for criminal investigation experience);
     • experience investigating espionage and related/similar activities;
     • Strategic counterintelligence (CI) experience;
     • Writing reports and developing leads;
     • Using analyst tools;
     • Computer savvy;
     • Computer forensics experience a plus;
     • Experience working in multiple agencies/joint environments a plus;
     • Various analyst roles/assignments a plus.

NOTE:  HUMINT experience, HUMINT CI support and battlefield CI experience are NOT directly relevant to these positions; candidates with heavy experience in these areas are not a likely fit. The primary duties of the CI Officer/Analyst will be to produce leads and write reports; conduct analysis; and liaise with other agencies and counterparts.


EDUCATION Requirements: 
   • Bachelors Degree + 3 to 6 years of relevant experience
   • No Degree + 10 years of additional equivalent experience in related field in lieu of degree will be considered.

 

REQUIRED:
Required Skills:  Understanding of DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) security regulations, directives and policies required. NGA Security and Installations Operations experience strongly desired. Strong organizational skills, to include timely delivery of finished products.  Effective oral and written communication skills.  Advanced proficiency in writing and grammar including the ability to edit and proofread. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).

DUTIES:
• (U) Assimilate, evaluate and interpret all-source information that concerns counterintelligence, counter terrorism, counter espionage, (henceforth referred to as “CI”) threats against personnel, programs, technology and information systems and/or facilities and the National System for GEOINT.
• (U) Provide daily analysis of the aforementioned for distribution to selected parties within DoD, and the Intelligence Community to include federal, state, and local law enforcement officials.  Emphasis is on items that reflect hostile or potential hostile intent toward NGA interests as well as what can be gleaned about NGA from an operational security perspective.
• (U) Assimilate, evaluate and interpret all-source information related to NGA from an operational security perspective.  Publish finished intelligence of this information on a scheduled and ad hoc basis, with recommendations for countermeasures.
• (U) Liaise with members of the DoD, the IC, and appropriate law enforcement entities to keep abreast of current CI issues as required and insofar as protocol permits.
• (U) Conduct internal liaison with IC community components to ensure a ready exchange of CI information to and between the appropriate parties identified by the government.
• (U) Identify areas of discordant CI information within community and recommend methods to correct.
• (U) Alert the government to any imminent threats and recommend countermeasures.
• (U) Provide long-range analytical forecasts of threats against NGA and recommend countermeasures. Provide CI analysis supporting international agreements involving geospatial intelligence and sharing of the same.
• (U)  Prepare briefs, as required, related to any or all of the above subject matter for delivery to internal and external audiences at the executive level.
• (U) Provide research and analysis to support the IC's Research and Technology Protection (RTP) program.
