INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN

Based on mill priorities, the successful applicant will be regularly involved in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical equipment and processes in a heavy industrial environment. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCSs (Distributed Control Systems), AC/DC variable speed drives, and power distribution systems.
As a minimum, candidates will have a 1st Class Interprovincial Certificate in the Industrial Electrical trade. The ideal candidate will possess in addition, a 1st Class Interprovincial Certificate in the Instrumentation trade and a 3-year Electronic/Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma.
Consideration will be given to Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation Journeymen candidates with progressive experience in troubleshooting in the pulp and paper industry or other heavy industrial environment.
Preference will be given to those with experience in the pulp and paper industry and who possess a good safety record. Additional requirements are as follows:
