SBC Advertising is looking for a Creative Director  to lead a team of art directors, designers and writers in developing and implementing innovative work that meets defined strategies and objectives. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of all forms of advertising – print, broadcast, interactive, social and out of home. The Creative Director plays a key leadership role working with Account, Strategic Planning, Media, Technology and Business Development to shape the strategy, work and client relationships.

Primary Responsibilities: 

·       Concept, develop and manage all aspects of the Creative product

·       Manage Creative teams and be proficient at tracking work

·       Translate marketing objectives into creative strategies

·       Lead and direct a team of art directors, designers and writers from concept to completion

·       Assist with planning and estimation of projects

·       Help develop creative briefs, project scopes and manage team resource allocation

·       Present and sell work to clients and act as the primary Creative contact

·       Attract, recruit and retain Creative talent to grow the Creative capability


Experience Guidelines: 

·       Portfolio school graduate or Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines:  Writing, Journalism, Art Direction or Graphic Design

·       10+ years of agency experience in a well established creative role with preferably 5+ years experience as an ACD or CD

·       Must have a proven track record of success at an advertising agency

·       Solid verbal communication skills and presentation experience to all levels of clients and co-workers

·       Experience managing teams

·       Must possess a deep understanding of preferred discipline: copywriting or design/art direction

·       Regardless of preferred discipline, must possess ability to guide all aspects of the work

·       Strong portfolio with proven conceptual ability and award-winning creative work across a variety of mediums – broadcast, digital, print and interactive content

·       Must be willing to execute work in discipline as needed

·       Must have experience in a client-facing role and have project experience in managing teams on large scale, long-term projects

·       Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills

·       Excellent writing skills

·       Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

·       Willing to travel as needed
