The Section of Pediatric Neurology & Developmental Neuroscience, Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine, is pleased to announce vacancies for pediatric neurologists with Epilepsy focus at Texas Children’s Hospital Main Campus. The epilepsy program is a flagship program in pediatric neurology and a key contributor to the department’s ranking in US News & World Report. As a referral center, the epilepsy program at TCH diagnoses and treats the most acutely ill children suffering from the debilitating effects of the disease. The academic appointment at Assistant Professor (tenure track), will be in the Section of Pediatric Neurology & Developmental Neuroscience of the Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine.
Our hospitals located in Houston Texas, provide Pediatric Emergency Centers staffed by physicians who are board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine; acute care inpatient units staffed by Pediatric Hospitalists; and intensive care units staffed by Pediatric Critical Care specialists. A large cohort of pediatric subspecialists provide inpatient and outpatient services at all locations (Main Campus, West Campus, and Woodlands).

With a proposed CART of 100% clinical effort, this junior level faculty member will be located at Main Campus. This candidate will assist with in patient call, fellows clinic, and reducing our wait list of patients with Epilepsy. Specifically, the candidate will work in the hospital in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Legacy Tower Neuro ICU, and reading EEGs. Additionally, an outpatient clinic will be scheduled for weeks not working in the hospital. Collaboration with neurosurgery and associated research is expected.
