EngenderHealth Tanzania is seeking expressions of interest from highly qualified candidates for the Project Director Position of an anticipated DFID funded programme - Scaling Up Family Planning in Tanzania. This 5-year programme aims to scale up access to FP in rural and urban areas, enabling women to safely plan their pregnancies and improve their sexual and reproductive health and rights. The programme will integrate a comprehensive range of services including care for victims of sexual violence and post abortion care and will seek innovative ways to reach people with disabilities, refugees and young people with family planning (FP) services.
The Project Director will be the principal representative of the project, providing overall leadership for the work of EngenderHealth and its partners. S/he will have responsibility for the overall management and operations of the DFID contract, and will report to the designated DFID point of contact for this project. S/he will provide strategic and operational leadership to develop and implement a successful and integrated programme that builds upon existing DFID investments, and that will achieve sustainable outcomes. The Project Director will report directly to the EngenderHealth Tanzania Country Representative. This position is contingent upon award from DFID.
