Position description:

Senior leader and brand management innovator who drives successful marketing and revenue growth for our U.S. GI product, LINZESS (linaclotide).  Strategic thinker and analytical professional with proven leadership skills. Leader for the implementation of innovative, science-based marketing and communication strategies for LINZESS and collaboration with partners while managing the strategic and tactical and financial elements of the brand and related marketing programs.  Key leader within the Commercial organization. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maximization of revenue generation and identification of new sources of business, leading to short term and long term financial brand growth and profitability;  brand P&L oversight

  • Develop, define and own the LINZESS brand strategy

  • Lead the brand planning effort, including the design and implementation of innovative, science-based marketing and communication strategies

  • Collaborate and build alignment with internal, functional and executive leaders and external business partners including aligning and managing key partnerships to facilitate and make key decisions

  • Design, propose and monitor the communication architecture and appropriate marketing mix

  • Manage the execution of strategic and tactical marketing plans, product messaging alignment and forecasting for the brands

  • Cultivate effective brand team collaboration with external partner and internal functional experts to create a high performing brand team

  • Lead the day-to-day interface with U.S. commercial partners

  • Partner with rest of world (ROW) commercial leader(s) for business needs related to LINZESS outside of U.S.

  • Manage brand / product(s) life cycle

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience

  • Proven experience overseeing a significant compound/brand within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries

  • Deep experience in collaborating with strategic partners and managing productive alliances (co-promotion experience)

  • Proven experience in designing innovative marketing and communication strategies, leveraging digital media as one of several communication channels

  • Proven management experience including experience with budgeting process, strategic and tactical planning, performance management and project management

  • Passion for brand management, sales, customer service and excellence

  • Ability to think strategically by identifying and analyzing consumer and market insights and translating these into effective strategies

  • Strong leadership, planning, and exceptional project management skills

  • Management experience; lead/mentor the linaclotide marketing team

  • Excellent oral, written, verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • B.A./B.S. degree required; advance degree preferred
