Description

Functional area: Investor Relations

 

Position description: Reporting to the Senior Director of Investor Relations (IR), this person is responsible for collaborating with and supporting the Investor Relations team to develop and execute the IR strategy. Additionally, this person will work closely with the Associate Director of Corporate Strategy to support ongoing strategic planning and corporate performance processes.

 

Responsibilities: The key responsibilities for the Manager of IR and Strategy will be to:

Investor Relations

  • Collaborate with the IR team on the development of the IR strategy and budget;

  • Manage the calendar of IR activities, including investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, Annual Meeting, Investor Days, among other IR-related events

  • Support the development of press releases and other investor communications

  • Maintain and update investor materials for use with investment community, including presentations, corporate Q&A documents, analyst/investor backgrounders, among others

  • Assist in the development of the quarterly stock activity report

  • Manage the annual IR goals tracker, presenting updates to the IR team (and others) quarterly

  • Handle logistics and administration of quarterly Investor Updates

  • Manage IR website, working with Corporate Communications to ensure it is current and accurate

  • Update and maintain IR database, including contact management system, analyst reports, and other IR-materials

  • Manage and coordinate effectively with external vendors

  • Manage IR budget, working closely with legal and finance

 

Corporate Strategy

  • Support associate director and VP of corporate strategy in development and execution of annual strategic planning process

  • Manage quarterly Board of Directors meeting preparation process

  • Track the progress of activities and deliverables that support a variety of cross-functional projects within corporate strategy and corporate performance

  • Provide operational support for corporate strategy and performance meeting forums (i.e. prepare agendas, meeting minutes, presentation materials, and follow up on action items)

  • Manage collaboration spaces for cross-functional project teams as needed

 

Basic qualifications:

  • Organized, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

  • Able to work cross-functionally in a proactive and constructive manner, and work across a variety of levels within the organization.

  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Jive, box.com)

  • Outstanding analytical skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability.

  • Proactive and direct communication style.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree.

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in an investor relations, strategy, finance or communications position; direct project/program management experience a plus.

  • Experience working at a biotech/pharmaceutical company preferred.

  • General understanding of pharmaceutical product development and commercialization; working knowledge of financial markets, strategic and operational planning preferred
