Position description:

The Manager/Sr. Manager, Sales Operations is first and foremost about improving sales productivity and effectiveness.  To do this, they are responsible for management, administration and implementation of various systems/processes that support the IRWD sales force, including HCP targeting and call plan creation, territory alignments, and additional ad hoc projects.  This individual’s duty includes managing all stakeholders (internal and external) involved with these processes and supplying standard reporting to all levels of the organization.  They are also responsible for ad-hoc analysis when necessary to generate deeper insights to inform decisions and to identify operational process improvements.  This position will report to the Director of Sales Operations/Sales Excellence.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as business owner and project manager for all aspects of targeting and call plan effectiveness. 

  • Partner with senior sales leadership and brand team to align business and targeting strategies

  • Partner with sales force, internal sales operation team, and IT to manage and modify sales force alignments regularly in support of sales objectives

  • Act as internal contact, overall project coordinator and liaison between the Field Sales Force, IT, and selected third party vendors to ensure all data is available to meet quarterly deadlines. 

  • Build a strategic partnership between AGN; When required, work in conjunction with co-promote partners in these areas to coordinate activities to ensure project alignment and execution excellence.

  • Select, direct and supervise outside consultants and other third party contacts as necessary in these areas.

  • Work in conjunction with sales leadership, IT and other internal groups to assist in ROI and business tracking analyses; Maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency.

 

 

Basic qualifications:

  • Manager: Bachelors degree and 3 years of related professional experience

  • Sr. Manager: Bachelors degree and 5 years of related professional experience

  • Demonstrated ability to scope and manage projects

  • Excellent analytic skills, and demonstrated experience in analyzing and synthesizing data to inform decision making, using Excel and other tools

  • Experience with VEEVA system

  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize appropriately and find the way to deliver results efficiently

  • Works well with others in a team oriented environment

  • Possesses strong project management skills

  • Proficient / Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Detail oriented, strong problem solving skills and high sense of urgency

  • Excellent Oral & Written Communication Skills

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Sample accountability experience

  • Advanced degree (MBA)

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales, marketing or operations experience

  • Direct experience in sales operations, planning or reporting
