The Director/Sr. Director of Analytical Operations is accountable for promotional analytics and brand insights, data integrity and reporting, competitive intelligence. This position works closely with the LINZESS and ZURAMPIC/DUZALLO brand and sales management teams, New Product Planning, and other stakeholders to help them develop business strategies and understand key issues and customer needs; deliver insights and recommendations to support strategic and tactical decision-making; and manage the day-to-day operations of the Analytical Operations team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop action plans and service level agreements with internal customers, mobilize resources in order to meet business needs, balance workload and prioritize requests for maximum value
  • Anticipate future changes in the market and identify competitive threats and opportunities;  Design and implement competitive intelligence analyses and dashboards
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and issues, with regards to capabilities, tools, and techniques that are relevant to functional / technical responsibilities
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to assure that purchased resources are being used to maximize sales and brand team strategic value
  • Develop and maintain processes and communication with Ironwood and alliance colleagues, promoting and facilitating the exchange of business and marketing intelligence
  • Develop business analytics capabilities, including effective day-to-day management and ongoing development of a highly technical team

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of management experience with Market Research and Business Intelligence
  •  Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
  • Serve as strategic partner to the brand team
  • Balance business / product objectives with appropriate research methodologies
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Create and manage analytics plans and budgets
  • MS Office - Advanced Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills.  
  • Knowledge of key pharmaceutical industry data sources (e.g. IMS)
