Call Center Representative- no foreign language experience needed!

When LSA’s clients’ request on demand telephonic interpretation support, the Call Center Representative is responsible for gathering accurate intake information and connecting the client to an Independently Contracted Linguists.  Representatives will also be responsible for quality monitoring to ensure a best in class client experience. Representatives must maintain a friendly, professional demeanor in all interactions with clients and Linguists, and must have strong listening abilities, exceptional verbal communication skills, and excellent customer service.
Required Skills:

  • Strong typing skills
  • Ability to spell accurately, including medical terms and names
  • Ability to keep information regarding clients and calls confidential
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable navigating Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong multi-tasking and critical thinking skills pleasantly
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced call center environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive, can do attitude ensuring that every interaction with a client is a positive experience for the client
  • Accurate hand-eye coordination required for use of computer mouse
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required.
  • Be ready to work at workstation by the time posted shift is to start.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, proven success in customer service / call center position is a plus.

 

Physical Demands:  

Individuals may sit or stand as needed. Reaching and moving the computer mouse throughout the work day. 

This is an on-site position only.

FLSA Job Status:

Non-exempt (hourly)

Part time and full time positions available.

Multi-language capabilities are not required.
