SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory’s Office of Chief Financial Officer, (OCFO) has a temporary employment opportunity available for detail-oriente, highly organized Administrative Associate. Reporting to the Lead Administrative Associate for the OCFO, this position will support and coordinate administrative and operational activities, interact with a wide range of constituencies including SLAC management and staff, external agencies, auditors, and consultants working with the OCFO. This position is expected to provide a high level of customer service and discern job priorities with a keen attention to detail and ensure prompt completion of deliverables against deadlines. 

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide general administrative support to OCFO management and staff.
  • Perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating conferences, seminars, and events.
  • Respond to inquiries, and determine and take appropriate action as required.
  • Assists in preparation of meeting material or updating documents, incorporating edits and feedback.
  • Assist with drafting and generating routine communications, including maintaining approved content on websites.
  • Maintain and organize office supplies and equipment. Organize department mail and files.

- Other duties may also be assigned.

Note: This is a non-benefits eligible casual-nonexempt hourly position (works less than 50% full-time equivalent), not to exceed 980 hours in a calendar year.


Education & Experience:

High school diploma and three years of administrative support experience.
