Our client is a consulting firm specializing in proposal development, capture, and market strategy services for government contractors.
They are currently seeking a Production Specialist in Chantilly, Virginia.


• Ensure that all client needs are accomplished in a professional, cost-effective, and timely manner
• Perform any task necessary to ensure the timely completion of Production Center projects
• Create, format, and lay out documents based on client and Government requirements
• Create slide presentations and templates for internal and client use based
• Create and conceptualize graphics and edit to specifications
• Develop internal marketing material and standard business forms
• Facilitate client oral presentations to the Government
• Perform word processing to include red line edits, transcription, and proofreading
• Photocopy and stuff binders
• Perform quality control checks on finished products
• Adhere to all established quality standards including format, layout, styles, and schedule/milestones


• Team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
• Schedule flexibility to include nights, weekends, and holidays when required
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various hardware and software configuration issues


• Typing ≥ 50 wpm
• Knowledge on the operation of general office equipment (fax, copier, printer)
• Basic computer skills including e-mail, network file structure and storage, Internet search engines


• Basic understanding of Government procurement process
• Familiarity with RFP sections


Knowledge of current Microsoft Office products including:
• Word – used for document layout; understanding of the use of styles, graphic compatibility and importing, and other advanced program features
• PowerPoint – used to create in-house and client presentations; understanding of the use of master slides, templates, graphic compatibility and importing, and other advanced program features
• Excel – source data used for incorporation into documents and presentations; understanding of worksheet layout, print preferences, views, page layout and breaks, methods to transfer Excel data between programs
• General working knowledge of MS Project and MS Visio

Knowledge of current Adobe products including:
• Acrobat – used for creating and manipulating PDF files; understanding of PDF document creation, inserting and extracting pages, editing existing text, extracting text and graphics, document compilation, conversion to and from Acrobat and other programs
• Illustrator – used for creating and editing graphics; understanding of color presentation, measurements and specifications, tools, and importing and exporting options
• Photoshop – used for creating and editing high-end graphics and photo manipulation; understanding of scanning and photo manipulation to include resolution, masks, layers, and other advanced tools
• InDesign – used for document layout; understanding of text and graphics importing and exporting, linked files, booklet and book creation, and document export and conversion
