The Associate is responsible for assisting in identifying requirements, testing and functional operations of the Credit Risk Application to advance CMEG in the global marketplace and serve risk management needs of customers around the world. The incumbent will assist in expanding the application to handle different assets and product types in multi-tiered application framework. The associate will prepare and maintain key project documentation for internal Clearing House resources such as Risk, Ops, Financial Unit, Legal on upcoming changes, as well as IT teams in preparation for roll-outs.
•Create detailed specifications and requirements documentation.
•Prepare documentation for external client validation meetings. Take detailed notes in internal and external meetings for dissemination and tracking of follow up items.
•Engage with technology teams to pass relevant information in the format of detailed documentation, use cases, powerpoints to enable them to understand the requirements and drive technical design discussions.
•Engage with clearing firms and client to validate requirements and get feedback before the requirements are finalized to avoid any delays in product rollout.
•Continually gather relevant information to remain a subject matter expert with clearing and market related changes to support individual product lines. Act as subject matter expert on the CME clearing solution and partner with our clients and vendors in the marketplace to prepare for new products and services as well as enhancements to existing product.
•Provide status updates to project team and management.

•Exhibits proficiency in SQL knowledge, intermediate in database modeling.
•Influences best practices development, contributing to process enhancements, and enforces best practices on project work.•
•Troubleshoot issues with the application.
•Review requirements and JIRA to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues and defects and help to identify sources of defects in the application code.
•Proactively work towards the project milestones keeping deliverables in mind
•Identify potential opportunities for application improvements
Master/Bachelor preferably in Engineering Stream or equivalent
5-8 years of experience in financial services or exchange experience.
•Experience in financial services, derivatives markets, commodities markets, market/credit risk.
•Ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of derivatives and fixed income securities.
•Candidate must have an advanced degree (MSc) in Financial Engineering or similar field.
•Programming skills in C++, Java, C Sharp, VBA, Python and Matlab are preferred.
•Experience with databases such as SQL and Oracle, data cleansing methodologies, and data transfer processes.
•Strong Business Analysis and Application requirements skills including Wireframes for GUI.
•Prior knowledge of BA/QA tools and processes is a big plus.
•Strong communication skills including strong presentation skills.
•Ability to independently respond to inquiries from members and clients.
•Ability to manage small team towards delivering work packets.
•Ability to put in place reconciliation processes and automate manual practices.
•Experience with Reuters EIkon and Bloomberg Terminal.
•Ability to conduct research and present to Sr. Management.
•Certifications like CFA, CQF, FRM, PRM preferred.
