Role Purpose:
The Manager Product Launch is required to lead the team in creating, maintaining, and QA testing product referential data.  Incumbent leads the product build, QA and production support functions in the India office, collaborating w/ peers globally to ensure product demand is fulfilled in a timely & quality manner and timely resolution to production support matters during Asia hours. S/he is responsible for improving effectiveness in the execution of product launch process. Engages with key Product Launch team members, Technology, Global Operations and Clearing Operations to resolve product setup & and production support issues.

  • Acts as a self-starter, manages and drives innovative change, is detail oriented, an effective communicator, and a team player; Shows capability as a multi-tasker with ability to sort out importance/urgency and effectively manage stakeholder expectations
  • People manager, experience developing and coaching small team of 6-7 members
  • Demonstrates knowledge of requirements elicitation, use cases, scope management, liaison between business units and technology/operations teams, understanding of SDLC process and Quality Assurance.
  • Demonstrates market knowledge and product referential data, settlements knowledge, front end trading and clearing cycle.
  • Establishes a process focus in work with proven track record managing multiple priorities effectively and reputation for getting things done.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical skills and innovative ideas needed to launch new Products and also demonstrates interest in gaining through knowledge of various systems and Internal/external customer facing applications.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Leadership – Provide leadership and SME during crunch time and provide Product Lead/SME support towards new products when there is a significant demand on the teams’ resources, due to business needs and special projects.
  • Product Support – Responsible for timely resolution to Product related production support matters during Asia hours. This includes escalating identified issues to the proper support teams and following up on solutions. Support the Product build and QA team in India in delivering New Products built and QA on a timely manner
  • Planning – Able to assist in planning Product Build and QA workload while maintaining a stable test environment. This includes, but not limited to facilitating weekly product meetings, and setting priority for new product testing
  • Process Improvement – Responsible for assisting in improving the overall Product QA process. This can include suggesting enhancements to BPM to reduce downtime or clarify workflow. This can also include suggestions to the overall test scripts across the multiple platforms and systems.
  • Environment Management – Understanding Globex and Clearing technical environments and working with our infrastructure teams to ensure timely deployment of software changes to our Product QA environments

Skills & Software Requirements:

  • Experience with SQL and Relational databases (e.g. Oracle)
  • Experience with JIRA requirements and bug management systems.
  • Understand the complexity of our entire technological framework in order to be able to diagnose problems and issues with product testing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient and agile with Windows platform
  • Familiar with 3rd party messaging applications like IBM MQM, Sonic MQ, Tibco RV
  • Unix Shell/Perl/etc. scripting
  • Experience with XML, Understanding of FIX protocol is a plus

Incumbent must have at least 4-5 years of relevant Industry experience:

  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Extensive experience with Systems/functional requirement analysis and knowledge of financial services ecosystem a must
  • Experience in defining and executing functional test cases, with a focus on critical business/systems requirements.
  • Knowledge of reference data systems in a financial services organization, equity/derivatives exchanges a plus.
  • Understanding of the trade lifecycle with OTC/Exchange traded derivatives.
  • Experience of working with Global teams, where the candidate has led/managed offshore QA/Support team a plus
  • 4+ years experience working in financial services with a focus on exchange traded or OTC financial products


  • Minimum - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field.
