Reporting directly into the Regional Head of Compliance & Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), the individual will be responsible for the following:

• Development and deployment of risk, regulatory and internal policy compliance programs for CME’s India operations
• Work with business owners to ensure adequate controls/testing are in place. Frequently validate the efficacy of the controls
• Provide pro-active leadership and support for risk and compliance activities in the region (e.g. anti-bribery/corruption, export control, privacy, etc.)
• Evaluate and assess current processes to identify risks or areas of operational weakness and recommend and develop effective solutions
• Strengthen the risk and compliance infrastructure through process and tools adoption and compliance metrics and reporting
• Development and deployment of regulatory compliance programs in the regional sales and distribution channel.
• Provide training to employees and drive training initiatives throughout the region
• Participate in compliance investigations and coordinate with the business at all levels to ensure implementation of appropriate corrective and/or preventative actions to close out issues
• Update local team on pertinent risk and compliance best practices
• Develop and maintain strong relationships in the India office and keep up to date with business development, issues, and risks
• Assist with internal and external audits as necessary
• Initiate, facilitate and promote activities to foster effective compliance awareness throughout the India office.

Experience/Qualification: You should be able to work in the capacity of an Individual Contributor, while taking the responsibility to lead the Compliance & Risk vertical for the India operations.
• Proven, hands-on experience with implementing compliance programs for a large, multinational company.
• Familiar with risk and compliance issues faced in India
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Excellent project management and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and develop relationships across a large virtual team.

Minimum Qualifications:
o Strong relevant experience within financial services or technology industry operations. Prior experience in Risk Management, or Compliance preferred.
o Candidates with strong related education qualifications will be preferred
o Ability to work independently, accurately and to meet deadlines
o Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management practices; demonstrated experience in developing and implementing aspects of Enterprise and/or Operational Risk programs preferred.
o Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team and ability to foster working relationships
o Strong business acumen and process-oriented thinking
o Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present on complex topics to senior management
o Candidate must be motivated to learn and succeed in a demanding environment that requires solutions to complex challenges.
o Strong investigative and analysis skills with the ability to handle confidential information
