Senior Business Analyst

 

Direct Hire

This individual will be integral part of delivery and act as a liaison between business users and technological solutions. This role will be responsible for collecting, clarifying, and translating business requirements into documentation and conceptual design to determine technology solutions deliver value to the business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Process Owners and Programmers to transform business requirements into technical requirements
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details
  • Deliver and/or review documentation, as needed and/or defined by documentation standards:
    • Statement of Work Review
    • Functional requirements
    • Business Process Requirements and Documents
    • Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs, etc.
  • Lead UAT efforts, collect feedback from stakeholders and adequately resolve
  • Must have the ability to gather information from a potential customer supporting pre-sales efforts

 

Functional Experience

  • Strong experience with legal and management reporting, such as Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flows
    • Pro-forma financial presentation
    • Currency reporting
  • Strong understanding of key performance indicators across a broad range of industries
  • Strong understanding of key financial activities and close processes in multi-currency environment
    • Managing adjusting journal entries
    • Managing scenarios (Actual, Budget, and Forecast)
  • Have an understanding how to provide reporting for significant transactions related to Mergers and Acquisitions, divestitures and other related activities
    • Managing purchase accounting
    • Push down entries
    • Intercompany Transactions
  • Experience with revenue and expense driver-based planning and forecasting across a broad range of industries
    • Direct Costs
    • Indirect Costs
    • Non-Operating

  • Oracle Products
    • Oracle Planning On Premise and Cloud Services
    • Oracle/Hyperion Financial Management
    • Oracle/Hyperion Financial Close Manager
    • Oracle/Hyperion Disclosure Management
    • Oracle/Hyperion Essbase
  • Integration knowledge
    • General knowledge of ETL Tools
    • General understanding of functional and operational sub-systems

 

Soft Skills

  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Must have the ability to communicate complex topics to a broad audience
