This position will provide coverage “as needed” and does not have any guarantee hours.

Pharmacy Hours: Monday thru Thursday 7am-5pm;   Friday 7am-4:30pm;   Saturday 8-2pm;   Sunday 9-2pm

Description:  As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician at Fairmount Behavioral Health System, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; running the billing; and auditing patient records.  You will need to be able to lift up to 20 pounds, be on your feet for extended periods of time, and walking to deliver medications several times daily within the campus.

Facility: Fairmount Behavioral Health System is located on a 27-acre wooded campus in Philadelphia that offers patients and families a peaceful and therapeutic environment for recovery. A highly regarded treatment center, Fairmount is a resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency.  Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy technician experience preferred in hospital or retail
  • Experience working in a high volume/fast pace environment
  • Microsoft office skills preferred
  • Excellent customer service
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be comfortable interacting with patients suffering from a mental illness
