PHARMACY TECHNICIAN – PER DIEM
Hours: Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 7am-7pm and Weekends/Holidays 8am-4pm. This position will cover shifts "as needed" and does not have any guaranteed hours.
Description: As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) pharmacy technician at Athens-Limestone Hospital, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing; and auditing patient records. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Facility: Athens-Limestone Hospital is a 101 beds, high-tech, state-of-the-art hospital providing general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients. Athens-Limestone Hospital is a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Tier 1 hospital, recognized for having attained the highest level of compliance in the areas of quality awareness, patient safety, and financial awareness. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). All Pharmacy staff are CPS employees.
