Hours: This position will work primarily day and evening shifts and will be in the rotation for weekends and holidays. Day and Evening shifts are between 6:30am thru 9:30pm.

As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Clinical Staff Pharmacist at CMMC you will evaluate and interpret orders; compounds; and dispenses medications according to written orders/prescriptions issued by an authorized prescriber.  The staff pharmacist will also identify, prevent, assess, and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome.   Promote, through criteria based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care.   You will assist in supervising the pharmacy technicians in their daily routines.

Facility:  The Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery organization serving central and western Maine. CMH's acute care facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital, and Rumford Hospital. Other CMH affiliates provide various outpatient and clinical services and maintain residential care facilities.  Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). All Pharmacy staff are CPS employees. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy 
  • Maine Pharmacist license in good standing 
  • Recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred but willing to train
  • ​Proficient computer skills using pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated customer service skills 
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written
