STAFF PHARMACIST - FULL TIME 
MEMORIAL HOSPITAL OF GARDENA
GARDENA, CA
 
Hours: Tentative Shift 9:00pm - 7:30am, 7 days on 7 days off, 10 hour shifts
 
As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Staff Pharmacist you will be responsible for patient order processing, product preparation management, maintaining security of pharmacy and controlled substances, managing patient information with accuracy, pharmacokinetic dosing, IV to PO and pharmacy based renal dosing, antibiotic monitoring and recommendation, MUE, and other assigned clinical activities. You will be responsible for remote order verification services for 3 sister facilities.
 
About the Facility: Founded in 1953, Memorial Hospital of Gardena provides full-service healthcare to the Gardena community, an ethnically diverse city south of Los Angeles with a population of 59,557. With 173 licensed beds, 103 acute beds, and 69 sub-acute beds, the hospital admits 7,400 patients and treats more than 30,000 outpatients per year. Currently the pharmacy is open weekdays from 7AM to 10:30PM, and weekends from 7:30AM to 8PM. We are currently hiring 2 FTE pharmacists to expand our services to 24/7 operations. The pharmacy is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). All pharmacy staff are employees of CPS.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD)
  • CA licensure in good standing
  • 1-2 years' experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital inpatient pharmacy preferred, however new grads will be considered
  • Strong clinical knowledge
  • Good communication skills
