Bulk Truck Operator - Qaaqtuq Dyno Nobel

Position Summary:

Purpose:

Qaaqtuq Dyno Nobel is currently seeking a fulltime  Bulk Truck Operator for our Meadowbank location. Will operate Titan RC bulk trucks and deliver gassed emulsion to customer.  Responsible for safe, timely, and accurate delivery of company product.  This location is a fly-in fly-out camp on a schedule of two-weeks on, two-weeks off position with 12-hour shifts

Core Accountabilities

  • Ensure superior customer service by providing on-time delivery of product making good logistical decisions and effectively responding to customer issues and requests
  • Ensure the safety of the operation, the customer, fellow workers and the public by following HSE rules and standards + SOPs + Explosives, TDG, WHMIS and OH&S regulations + company policies and by exercising due diligence and good judgment, particularly with respect to hazardous weather and road conditions, truck conditions, unloading conditions and the state of personal health;
  • Provide effective administration and regulatory compliance by completing and submitting all paper work accurately and timely. 
  • Report all problems, accidents, incidents, issues of concern and unusual occurrences to management in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide general maintenance and repair services for company buildings, vehicles and equipment that is within the incumbent's knowledge, skill and ability plus the Company's on-site resources
  • Operate and maintain the plant facility, equipment and vehicles in accordance with SOPs and in a manner that protects company assets and ensures their dependability;
  • Correctly use workplace hazard controls and PPE when exposed to hazardous materials, environments and procedures

Technical Competencies

Experience / Skills

  • Minimum Class 1 License required
  • Current airbrake certification and knowledge in TDG and WHMIS
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and to communicate in writing and verbally.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
