General Function: The Investigator will provide support to the organization in assisting with assigned investigations. Functional areas of Asset Protection include audits, internal and external investigations, fraud identification, and execution of debt reduction programs. Additionally, the Investigator will provide support to the Manger of Investigations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct investigations on fraudulent internal and external activity

2. Work with law enforcement to resolve/conclude investigations

3. Accurately complete cases within the company’s case management system

4. Conduct interviews with dishonest employees

5. Conduct proactive reviews based on financial trends

6. Provide case feedback to field Asset Protection team and field operations

7. Build and/or maintain exception reports used by the department

8. Conduct presentations at company meetings as needed

Skills Description

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Associates Degree or equivalent experience
• 1yrs + experience in a loss prevention/investigative role
• Travel: 10% of time, local and overnight, dependent upon business need

Functional Skills:
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, and both internal and external customers
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience using Microsoft SQL preferred but not required
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and solution-orientated work style
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communication skills
• Exemplary organization, time management, and prioritization skills
• Strong leadership skills within and outside the department
• Exceptional skill in communicating clearly and directly over the phone
• Experience in interviewing and interrogation techniques/WZ method preferred
• Extended viewing of computer screens
