As an Interior Design Director with Gensler Singapore office, you will lead the design efforts for Workplace environments. You must demonstrate proven skills in establishing and developing design schemes as well as extensive experience in leading design teams on multiple projects. To be successful in this role, you must have significant knowledge of design, commercial furniture and finishes, effective communication and presentation skills and strong leadership skills.
This role also expect you to actively developing strong business relationships with customers and outside partners. What You Will Do
Lead the creative efforts on client interior projects, developing overall design concepts and design presentation strategies from the initial marketing stages through construction and installation
Develop and own overall design concepts and design presentation strategies
Acting as primary design interface with client and build and sustain client relationships; act as the primary design interface with clients, team members, and a wide range of consultants and collaborators, both internal and external
Providing solutions to design problems and generate design alternatives
Mentor and develop Gensler designers; provide creative direction to design teams
Reviewing drawings, mock ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors
Partner with the Studio Director and assume overall responsibility for profit and loss of the studio.
As a member of a studio’s leadership team, collaborate with practice leaders and colleagues to enhance Gensler’s culture for design excellence, elevate the quality of design, and achieve recognition for clients and the firm, developing design directions and leading design critiques/forums
Delivering the highest quality of professional service
Participate in business development and marketing efforts
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
15+ years experience in the design and have a significant track record in Interior Design for major design / architecture, interior design consultancies in Workplace interior related projects
Holds a degree in interior design from an accredited program
Knowledge of/Qualifications in sustainable design or applicable building code will be an advantage.
Proficient in all aspects of interior design, prior experience with or knowledge of design/build delivery is a plus
Preferably proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, 3D Studio, sketch up and free hand sketches
Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
Able to have extensive travel throughout ASEAN upon request.
