Position Description/Overview:

The Data Quality Analyst Sr. (Data Governance) position will be responsible for creating and managing consistent, uniform master data within Press Ganey systems. They will collaborate with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to use processes, workflows, and technologies to manage and ensure the quality and consistency of Press Ganey corporate and product-related data assets.  Primary role will be on MDM technical fulfillment of requirements & design, as well as technical support for MDM platform components, reference data maintenance, data quality research, and other operational support.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Technical expertise with data models, database design, MDM configuration development, and MDM administrative support
  • Technical expertise in development of physical master data model
  • Process workflow development (SDK)
  • Development and configuration of data quality matching algorithms
  • Technical design and development of source system Integrator
  • Technical development and configuration of Data Steward interface
  • Develop in-depth understanding of Press Ganey data structures and information content
  • Investigate data flows, data content, data element definitions with a goal of enterprise Master Data integration
  • Define and maintain reference data, business rules, and quality improvement thresholds
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Profiles data from different sources and determines whether and how data can support business and data requirements of its intended use
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to standardize incorrect, invalid, or non-conforming client-provided data, survey data, and Client Organization hierarchies
  • Technical experience cleansing and organizing reference data, master data, data standards, and enterprise business glossary
  • Profile and publish data quality scorecards for transparency and data remediation improvement
  • Contributes to enterprise data governance activities as needed; including policies and procedures
  • Tactical enforcement of Data Governance policies and rules
  • Excellent work acumen to partner with our colleges in Research & Analytics, Product Management, and Information Technology
  • Researches new technologies while keeping up-to-date with technological developments in relevant areas

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have a solid foundation in data model concepts, master data management, healthcare data, operational process, SDLC, project management, and data profiling & analysis.  The ideal candidate for this opportunity will possess the following work experiences:

  • Proficient skills and knowledge of data quality tools, data quality disciplines and master data management technologies 
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design & development, and tooling administrative support
  • Knowledge and usage of ER/Studio, Informatica Business Glossary, Azure Data Catalog, SSIS, MS Master Data Service (MDS)
  • Technical experience
  • Proficient with SQL queries and data discovery
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong decision making and analytical abilities
  • Knowledge of modeling conventions for both data (data models) and process (data flow diagrams and process models)
  • Ability to analyze data problems and determine solutions using process and creative problem solving
  • Ability to understand and adopt new technologies quickly
  • Roles in both data-related business and technology positions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with executive level stakeholders
  • Proven ability to turn vision and goals into actionable plans
  • Must be able to incorporate the company’s long-term strategy into activities
  • Knowledge of Data Governance policies, processes, and organization
  • Policy, processes, and user documentation authoring
  • Previous healthcare industry experience would be a major advantage
  • Experience with MDS (Master Data Services) and Profisee MDM platform desired
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Management
  • 2+ years of experience in Data Governance
  • 2+ years’ experience with Master Data Management platform 

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
